Who is Halloran & Yauch?
Halloran and Yauch, Inc. is a family owned and operated business that has been serving Chicagoland residents for over 55 years. Since 1967, three Generations of irrigation-workers have lent a helping hand in making Chicago green while providing thousands of residential, commercial, & golf course sprinkler systems. We offer services to companies & individuals looking to spruce up their lawns and brighten up their landscaping. As a family business, we have high standards and pride ourselves on the work we provide to our community.
James F. Halloran
Founder
After his service in the US Army, Jim gained over a decade of experience in the irrigation industry when he worked for our predecessor company, A.C. Oughton. In 1967, Jim Halloran started Halloran & Yauch, Inc., alongside his friend and co-founder, Roy Yauch. Together they envisioned a company to provide accommodating quality service for all types of irrigation needs throughout the Chicagoland area. First starting out in a small shop in Winnetka and eventually moving to a bigger facility in Glenview in the 80s; Jim saw his business flourish for nearly 56 years. He saw his dreams come alive before his eyes and he dedicated his life to his passions of family and business. Three generations later, his family continues to carry on his dreams and the legacy that he left behind.

Thomas Halloran
Principal
Son of Jim, Tom Halloran has gained a life full of irrigation experience. He graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering which helped him prepare for the expansion of H&Y in upcoming years. In the early 2000s, Tom & his father once again watched their company expand and grow as they moved locations from Glenview to Lake Forest, our current office building. For over 40 years, Tom has designed and installed thousands of systems to suit each client’s needs. His sons work alongside him and are learning the ins-and-outs of the industry to help H&Y thrive for generations to come.

Patrick Halloran
Service Manager
Patrick graduated from the University of Missouri, but more recently he has gained certifications that have widened his horizons and abilities to conduct numerous tasks within the field. He has specialized training from both Hunter and Rainbird which allows him to properly solve any unforeseen issues that may occur. With over a decade of work experience, Patrick is very familiar with residential, commercial, & golf irrigation systems. He has learned the essentials of the industry with hands-on experience and is extremely knowledgeable about any specialized products that we carry.

Aidan Halloran
Business Manager
Aidan has an immense understanding of irrigation work and is certified in multiple areas of expertise. Often, he is in charge of getting work permits and handles the majority of the billing procedures. With nearly a decade of experience, Aidan has helped automate our warehouse and office needs; making the overall daily workflow more efficient for both our employees and clients.

Rod Betterly
Service Technician Manager
Working at H&Y for over 40 years, Rod has gained extensive knowledge when it comes to constructing irrigation designs for golf courses. He attended Baldwin Wallace University and currently is a Certified Watertronics service provider. Often, he supervises golf course irrigation while inspecting each project he oversees. Rod is a part of the Midwest Association and is a knowledgeable PSN member. He is an extremely valuable member of our work family and we thank him for his years of dedication.
Mark DiValerio
General Manager
Mark has over 30 years of utility industry experience that has prepared him to help H&Y level up in recent years. He graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and has allowed our office to run more efficiently. On the daily, he offers IT support and conducts sales with our clientele. He has multiple certifications from Hunter & Rainbird that have prepared him to thrive in the irrigation industry.
Erik Nelson
Planner & CAD Designer
Erik spends most of his time planning and designing custom irrigation systems for our clients. He has crafted hundreds of systems with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) that have been built around Chicago. He measures parameters and takes the proper care when drafting the concept for each new system. With decades of experience, Erik is a vital element of our team.
